Age Classifications for 2009

The Tryout Process

Step 1	Read the "Athlete's Bill of Rights": http://www.ovr.org/forms/Athletes_Bill_of_Rights.pdf
Step 2	Identify your correct age classification based on your birth date in the Age Classification chart above.
Step 3	Register for AVC's Tryouts on-line: Click Here to Register
Step 4	Read the Club FAQs and the AVC Quick Fact Sheet.
Step 5	Fill out and bring the following forms: USA Volleyball Waiver and Release form: http://www.ovr.org/forms/OVR_Waiver.pdf Medical Release Waiver form: http://www.ovr.org/forms/Player_Medical_Release_WO_Notary.pdf
Step 6	Attend your designated tryout based on your age classification and pay the tryout fee.
Step 7	You will be notified if you are accepted into the Club within 2 days after the tryout.

What to Bring:

• Athletic Shoes, Kneepads, Water or Gatorade
• Tryout fee of $15 (Make checks out to "AVC")

What to expect:

Tryouts will last approximately 3 hours as the staff will ask you to run through a set of basic volleyball drills for passing, serving, hitting, and other skills. There will also be time for playing with other participants to demonstrate your abilities for teamwork, communication, mobility, and attitude.

Notification:

Athlete's accepted into the club will be notified within 2-3 days of the tryout. If a player is invited to join, the player will have 10 days to accept or decline the offer to join before the invitation goes to another player on the waiting list.
