Spring Junior Volleyball College at AVC

Saturday afternoons beginning April 28

Junior Volleyball College

Balance of instruction and playing time once a week throughout the season. Staffed by experienced USA Club coaches. Age and skill levels are split for the program. Good for beginners and intermediate players.

NEW - We are adding an advanced program at a separate time for those that want more challenging drills and play.

  • When: Saturdays April 28 through June 2
    • Beginners/Intermediate: 4/28 - 2:00-3:30pm. All other dates Noon-1:30pm.
    • Advanced: 4/28 - 3:30-5pm. All other dates 1:30-3:00pm.

AVC Partners with Spire Institute

AVC and Spire has formed a partnership that will be mutually beneficial. AVC will be a preferred club at Spire and members will be entitled to special offers such as invitations to special events, special access to Spire amenities and member discounts.

AVC and Spire have common philosophies and goals and that is the basis of forming this new partnership. AVC members should be proud and honored that Spire chose our club to partner with as we have had great success in developing athletes and becoming well known as a top-notch competitor across the nation. The staff at Spire have expressed their admiration of AVC as a National competitor and as an organization and we should all be proud of that. AVC is continuing to use its Valley View location as its home base.

For 2 years, SPIRE has been the home for the US Junior National Men’s team prior to their international competitions and SPIRE will be the host of the MAC Conference Championships, November 18th -20th. AVC is honored to associated with Spire who’s reputation is quickly growing as a world class athletic facility and organization.

AVC and Jump Serve Volleyball Club Merger

AVC and Jump Serve Volleyball Club have agreed to merge volleyball clubs. AVC will take on Jump Serve's coaches, Club Director's and players into a bigger and better AVC. Jump Serve Club Director's, Maria Jackson, Marge Elmo, and Teri Angelotta will be part of the AVC administration staff and take on many of the director and administration roles at AVC. Please give everyone from Jump Serve a big AVC welcome to the club!

 

AVC Player featured on USA Volleyball Website!

AVC 13 National Player Dena Tekavec is featured on the USA Volleyball Website in an artice titled "13-Year-Old Casts Big Shadows, Bigger Dreams".

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 9, 2011) - Her shadow stands about 12-feet tall with at least a four- foot vertical and a record-breaking wing-span. The flight and technique of the painted wall figure is copied by many, but for seventh grader Dena Tekavec (Solon, Ohio), the perfectly captured duo jump serve is a symbol that her 5-4 frame doesn’t do justice to the heights of her volleyball dreams....
